#10100 - RE: Cygnal C8051FXXXX
Hi Allan,

So sorry to interrupt. I'm alomst wondering the same question as you are.

Base on the "Chips" listed on this website, it seems that beside this Cygnal Chip has the "fullest feature" (Falsh+ADC+debugger+WD), the closest candidate is ADUC812. Is there anymore ?

However, I find that ADUC812's memory is not as huge as Cygnal (8K vs 32K). The beauty of Cygnal is that is has 'hardware built in debugger' (If I do not mis-interpret the specifications).
This feature gonna be real useful. So is there any ppl has ever tried this feature on this chip ?

I'm actually also using Z-World Rabbit 2000 processor (www.zworld.com) which has also the capability of debugging without any additional hardware circuitry. However,I find that the compiler will keep on interrupt the processor every 100ms to update the window and status. In other words, the debugger work more like a software base than hardware base. Thus, if you are debugging a timing sensitive application, then it gonna be a headache. Beside, the libraries that come with the compiler has a lot of "embedded" code which you thought it will not affect your present code. Perhaps, I'm too novice for that chip which require a higher level of experience.

Thanks

Best Regards
Andy
