Presumably you mean "debugger" rather than "compiler?"

With the Keil debugger & Triscend on-chip "emulator" (ie, JTAG), the debug windows are not updated until the processor is stopped (whether manually or by breakpoint). Does yours have a setup option to change to this kind of scheme?
