#10105 - RE: Cygnal C8051FXXXX |
Hi Andy,
I actually have the ADuC812 kit & have played with it a it. Haven't found any severe problems. You can add up to 64K external code chips & up to 16M external data chips, so memory doesn't seem a problem. My problem with it is that I don't think it's fast enough for my application. Also, the cost of an ICE is horrendous (I've been quoted US$10K for the Metalink ICE). The main concern I have with the Cygnal C8051F005 is the 32K code space which cannot be expanded. however, the speed looks like it will do the job for me. Also, the embedded 'emulator' & development kit (US$99) is attractive (ie if the embedded emulator works well enough) Hope to get some more input on this topic. regards, Allan Coyne |
