#10138 - RE: Cygnal C8051FXXXX |
Hello Allen and Andy,
I've had some experience with both the ADuC812 and the Cygnal chips (F000 & F226). My company is moving to the Cygnal after using the ADuC for about two years. I can't vouch for 25MHz on the Cygnal, because we run ours at 24MHz. It works very well at that speed, and I would suspect the extra 1MHz would be fine. The Cygnal IDE and debugger have been invaluable for developing our project. The IDE has a couple of minor bugs, but is very usable--especially for its price. Cygnal has also provided us with great technical support. The ADuC has given us problems with the lock bits locking before we can program it, and Analog Devices hasn't been very easy to deal with, so you can see that I'm biased toward the Cygnal. Best Regards, Josh |
