#102248 - once again Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Once again this is simply not true to say the encrypting your code doesn't work its a well established technique, its used all over the place and there seems to be one paper about how to crack a processor which had a bug in 1989.If you had read what i was trying to say I was simply trying to say that it used to be the case that you could defeat the ds-whatever with voltage pulses but i doubt its true now,as i said before you will never stop the determined hacker.I was trying to make the point that deliberatly damaging a processor is a bad idea, a better idea is to use encryption, obsfication and any other techniques to deter and hamper the hacker. And once again we will have someone saying that 'oh if you put the ds-whatever in the fridge and hit it with a hammer then it breaks the code' this is not the point,it is entirely irrelevent. |
