#102413 - thanks to the engineerinmg profession, a Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Some politicians write laws based on what is good totally disregarding what is possible, but, thanks to the engineerinmg profession, after a few years things start to work.
Here in the US there is a classic case. to save water congress passed a law that no commode could use more than 1.6gal (4l) per flush. The first 1.6 commodes that came out (the "coffee can design") needed 4 to 5 flushes to get rid of your "deposit" - some water savings. Today, however the 1.6 commodes work just as well as the old waterhogs did. I have no doubt that eventually the lead free process will wotk just as well as what we use today, but I do agree that it is tough to work during the transition. Erik |
