Batteries may not be a problem in the First world. But right now in India, we have regular power outages and shortages. So, every Tom, Dick and Hari is cashing in on the UPS/ Inverter market. And most of these about the most substandard designs you can imagine, the batteries lasting barely for 2 years. So we have mushrooming of battery manufacturing and recycling shops, who of course do not have to follow any health norms.
