Jon No, I am starting at lower speed and ramping up then, here is what I am doing for speed, Start with 10 steps per second increase to 50 steps per second (by external input) increase to 200 steps per second (by external input) increase to 400 steps per seconds (by external input) and finally trying to achieve 800 steps per seconds (at this stage the motor stops and makes low noise) Jon Ledbetter said:
Earlier you mentioned the rated current for motor is 1.2 A/phase (if I recall correctly). At 1.2 amps with a 1 ohm resistor = 1.2V = Vref. You also said your Vref was 2.11 Volts, which would give you 2.11A/phase on motor, you are right I will further decrease Vref and will see if that makes any difference. i will post the update here soon, What signal I should expect on pin 16 (OSC) of L297??
