Yes, that could be one definition of a processor fault[1], and it is possible that a watchdog may enable you to recover from it. But it is by no means a complete definition of the term, "processor fault", and is not even a 100% certain way of catching all such events. Again, the watchdog itself will not tell you what happened - you will need further diagnostics to determine that the wathcdog caused a reset, and why... [1] it could be argued that this is not actually a fault in the processor itself... |
