#120183 - How do you propose to make the processor "illumina
Responding to: ???'s previous message
if the processor stops
It can't

or infinite looping.
that's what consitute a processor 'stop'

i want to illuminate an led and then wait for hardware reset to restart the processor.how is this done
How do you propose to make the processor "illuminate a led" when it is 'at fault'?

is there a location in the controller where the processor jumps if there is an watchdogtimer overflow where i can illuminate the led and wait for the reset pin to reset it
yes ZERO! a reset start the processor over. There is no difference betwen a powwer on reset and a watchdog reset except some processors set a bit that can be used to detect warmstart.

not faults that will occur due to software bugs or infinite looping

How about telling us WHAT you refer to, not what you do not refer to.
