PS. Extensive coloring might get confusing, too, especially if the colors deteriorate over time. Have you ever had the joy of distinguishing white/light yellow/white with light yellow strips/light yellow with white strips wires? :-)

Hm hm. Reminds me of a scene in the movie "The Abyss", where the hero needs to cut the blue/white wire and not the black/yellow one. Unfortunately, his only source of light is also yellow.
