You have the file already included. The source of it. Into that listing. The emulator can very well "step through" that listing. Or the include file can be "reverse engineered" from that listing. What else might one want or expect from the emulator.
Or assume that the file are in whatever the default places are. Let them be 5 or 10, it does not matter, there is a firmly given way how the compiler/assembler searches through those places. And the emulator software can do absolutely the same. Or it can ASK for the location of the include file the user. And the emulator maker can - and should - cooperate with the compiler maker to find out exactly how the compiler came to the binaries. And here, it should be relatively easy for metalink emulator maker to cooperate with the metalink assembler maker, shoudln't it... JW |
