Dear Mr.Erik & Andy,
Some clarifications you asked for.

I am planning to put the master & slave boards in one enclosure , so they will be usually not more than a foot apart at the farthest end.

I realize the fact that i2c will only "talk to" & not broad cast data,so I have cyclically send data to each slave.
I have got my master i2c code right,I have checked it up with i2c EEPROM as slave.But no luck in writing i2c slave code.

I saw the article on using UART , need to explore that as possibility,but in a future addon we need communication which is going to use the rx tx pin so we can't see i2i with both features active.

I have never worked with SPI so I don't know much about it.
