what do you mean by "converting two's complement to binary"? Unlike "regular" adc's the CS5460A's analog values were in the 2's complement format, if I remember now they were floating point values of various voltage, current, watt etc registers. In fact I think these chips were not just adc's but delta-sigma adc'c with other dsp functions packed inside to form an energy meter chip, and I had difficulty in trying to convert these 2's complement format to regular floating point data types, anyway I did not have the patience to complete the project and by then the prices of the C8051F350 had come down. For the very obvious reason that it gives you 24-bit values! I guess so! Regards, John. |
