#135612 - Please 'be kind and understand' Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I must say, I fully endorse your views and this post is not addressed to you. Many times in the past, I have said and still maintain; if there is nothing constructive to say, just ..... don't say anything. If you are offended by SMS - ignore it. If you think you can change the world by telling someone he's wrong - obviously, you need to learn more. (Clarification - You means anyone who posts a reply) I haven't spoken out in the past, for the fear of being misunderstood, but I think its time to say it as I see it. In umpteen number of posts, the thread is hijacked by people who label themselves professionals and try to impose their ideas on the unknowing, learn by experiment kind. I do like the humour though on this site as some posters in the past have shown they have a tremendous gift of the gab. I cannot recall the posts right now, but I do remember very humourous posts about a year ago and I do appreciate them even though they deviate from the topic. I do not see anything wrong if a poster says he wants to do something in a particular way. So also, I do not see anything wrong if someone says that there's a better way to do the same. But to state that using your technique is just dung is just not right. You see, conventional wisdom has been overturned by non-conventional wisdom just because someone thought differently and was stubborn enough to stick by his/her conviction. I am sure you heard of the compressed air powered engine - right? Or the flat earth theory. What am I getting at? The same old rant. If there is nothing constructive to say, just ..... don't say anything. There are better things to do if you want to vent your spleen - go on a hike, go for a walk along the beach - whatever. But please, let harmony prevail on this site. Jerson |
