Although most parts of the "bible" hold pretty well for many '51 derivatives, this might be an another gotcha for the unaware.
Some derivatives run a hidden startup code before they "hand over" to the user code. For example, this is the case of P89V51RD2 with the default bootloader (the funny - or sad? - fact is, that the bootloader could be written so that it won't corrupt the RAM...) JW |
