I am trying to connect uarts using twisted pair cable
you do not say how
a) direct uC TxD to uC RxD?
b) using RS232 transceivers?
c) using 422 transceivers?
d) using 485 transceivers?
e) using something else?
for a) and b) twisted pair makes no difference
for c) and d) is (should be) required
for e) who knows?

Erik

Yep, The UARTS directly TXD with RXD . I couldnt comprehend when you say "twisted pair makes no difference" .

Lastly if things go wrong I know, I will have to use RS232 or RS485. But lets see if anyone is confident enough and gives me enough moral to go for the design :).

Please see If we can use shielded cable and Ground at one side of the circuit board.

Thanks all for your time
