Yep, The UARTS directly TXD with RXD . I couldnt comprehend when you say "twisted pair makes no difference". I guess he means that it brings no advantage over non-twisted wires? In fact, it might be better to avoid twisted pairs: If you twist together the Tx and Rx wires with unbalanced, single-ended signals, you increase the risk of crosstalk... Probably not significant for only 4 feet and provided both ends are connected - but I have seen such problems with long RS232 cables when one end was disconnected... |
