#150229 - Why do you believe it's going awry during powerup? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Did you make any observations that suggest it's happening during power-up?
I've casually observed (on other 805x MCU's) external memory accesses during active RESET during the power-down transient, but never observed it during power-up. I can't think of a good reason why it couldn't occur during power-up, but I can envision why it would happen during power-down, particularly since the charge-pump necessary to program/corrupt FLASH memory is fully charged at power-down. It's my belief that, if you can discharge Vcc within a couple of microseconds of shutting off the power (protect your regulators with a diode), you won't have this problem, but that's just a guess, so far. I'd appreciate any information you've gathered in the course of your observation of this problem. RE |
