i m using the c8051f340 mcu and experiencing flash corruption problem during power up. i have enabled the voltage monitor reset in the rstsrc register. i have also removed the external RC circuit. but the problem still persists.

i have read the previously posted threads related to flash corruption, and i have decided that using an external reset monitor ic V6309 seems to be the solution to this problem.

i would like to know if connecting an external reset monitor ic will interfere with programming the controller or not (since reset pin is also used as clock during programming). should i connect the v6306 directly to the reset pin of mcu or is there another way of connecting the reset monitor. any suggestions will be much appreciated (plz provide a connection schematic for assistance). thanx in advance.


Atwhat voltage are you operating it?? when you encounter troubles?? . 3.3V or 5V? . What Reset Threshold you have selected for the part? at that voltage .
