I saw an article/ad for an OLED display and downloaded the datasheet, in my app it would last a year. I did, for obvious reasons, not save the link or the datasheet.

Since yoiu recommend it post a link to what you recommend and I'll find it or tell you the Mfgr is hiding facts.

Here in RTP we have CREE one of the foremost OLED makers and they claim "improved lifetime" which verify that OLEDs have a limited life.
