it does not make sense that someone that states "I am a new assembly programmer, then most of the time I get some hard way!" should add to his troubles trying to figure out how to use a "free IDE".

If you just grab e.g. Metalink and read the (if I recall) 50 pages manual and "the bible" you are off and going, why add to the learning curve at a time where "I am a new assembly programmer". Get one thing down solid before jumping on the next bandwagon.

The one I use works well, but is very poor (dos based).
Since when does DOS based make something "very poor" I find "DOS based" makes thing fly and "Windows based" makes thing fly like a pig.
