#150603 - Ops,,, Topic changes!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Ops, Take it easy ! eheheh!!!

It does not make sense the original topic about LCD in 4 bit mode become a topic about : "I am against dos based , I am not" ... But I think the moderator is following the situation!!!

But, let´s go clarify some things :

- I am not against DOS (Since 1994, with my poor 486 dx2, I have been using it!) ;
- I program PIC microcontrollers with MPLABC30 , C Language. The screen, tools, menu, compilation, programming are extremely easy and organized ! It saves me time at the industry and the projects work well ;
- I am migrating to the use of the 8051 and Assembly Language because I think it is an obligation to an Electronics Engineer know deeply that! And because of rules of the company I work! ;

- The environment I use to program 8051 with ASM Language has very poor screen, four steps to assembly the code and generate a "bin" file. Another step to generate a "hex" file and another step to upload the "hex" file to the real microcontroller. It works very well and it is doing the job. But, in terms of organization and clearity, compared with the programming I was used to make (C language and PIC) this new method is very worse ;

- My objective: A environment clear, with tabs and that generate the "hex" file with only one step... ;

As I have explained in a message before, I think better to me read more about the options of IDE before a new topic (Neil suggested me search at the LINK menu, I am doing that! )

My apologize for the moderator because of the topic change and my suggestion for Erik: You can create a new topic! I will dialog with you there!

Thanks !
