Try a little searching here. Your question about these programmer shows up here again and again. It MAY work if you build it carefully with the exact parts. Maybe the author should have his own forum.
You stated that you substituted parts, but did not say which. You then said "what is that decoupling cap" sorry but that says you have a lot to learn. Pick a part with a built in boot loader it is easier. Note as to your original problem if the Votage at pin 40 (the Power input to the chip) is not stable at 5 Volt +/- 10% the LM7805 is the Issue. If it is Hot you have a miss wire or short somewhere. If not check your input voltage It must be > 8VDC. did you use a 10uf Cap? What kind? Is the 100uF cap rated at more than the voltage across it? |
