... I used Pascal on a military project.

Officially, Ada should've been used - but Pascal was justified on the basis that there were no suitable Ada tools, and Pascal was the closest thing available!

It was an Intel Pascal compiler for the 8086/88/186/188.

Given the choice, I'd prefer Pascal over 'C' - but there just isn't that much choice.
