Someone that has never seen either language isn't going to be coding. When I read the 'C' code you posted, I basically read it as I would read English. It's a matter of familiarity. The advantage to 'C' is that once you are familiar with it, the conciseness of the code lets you write the same code in fewer keystrokes.
