#160785 - PSD Memories replacement ?
Hi,
Next year will STMicroelectronics discontinue PSD854F2 peripheral "http://tinyurl.com/6ejaas" which we
used in many systems connected to Dallas CPUs (DS87C520). This PSD could be directly connected to 8051 CPU
and it has 256KB Primary and 32KB Secondary Flash, 32KB SRAM and PLD with Macrocells, configurable I/O Ports
and so on. It was good solution in systems where EMC is quite important.

Now we have problem because one of the system we developed has to have continuity and our customer don't
want to change all components except of PSD part only (CPU and another peripherals must
continue because of HW&SW certification etc. ...).
We must reconstruct PCB and find replacement instead of PSD854. For example: PSD4256G6V device is not solution
because it will be killed in 18 month too.

We look for the solution but I would like to know some tips or recommendation of another developers.

TIA
Vaclav
