Definitely, yes. We need "Big" 32KB SRAM for the RT critical system.

Thanks for your tip. We use all parts of PSD include CPLD. We used RAM/FLASH before PSD and now we must change our
view to another technology (regarding memories,CPLD and so on). BTW: It seems to me that there is more and more problematic to
keep MCS51 8-bit family in the house although there is still quite a lot of 51's producers.

Yes. We have thought about such possibility. I spoke about it with our Czech ST representative and he said to me
that uPSD is not perspective as well but it will be stable for next 5 years. After that .... ???
We have following problem:

  • 1. Debugging, (or better) emulating the new system. The system I speak about is RT critical and it is
    somewhere between SCIL Level 3 and 4. I am not sure whether ULINK2 from Keil is the right "emulator"
    for a such system and its development... The Keil Compiler yes but Debugger not.
  • 2. Our customer don't want start a new HW and SW development. They want change ST producer,
    maybe PCB and make small changes (HW, SW)!!!
