do you rx any thing from the remote board? It's not likely procomm and you can prove this by demonstrating that Hyperterminal has the same problem.

Check your Procomm setup (bit rate, port selection, word format).

Don't worry about the capture log until you can exchange characters with the target. Once this occurs procomm will download and log very nicely.
