The choices such as

d or D for download 
g or G for to Run 
s or S for substitue 
m or M for to check memory

sound like prompts from your "emulation board" - they are not functions of Procomm.

Are you sure that the physical connection to the board is OK, and the Procomm port setup is OK?

Are you sure that the "emulation board" is actually running?

Do you have another PC or dumb terminal which you could use to check that your Procomm is actually sending & receiving OK?
