Hi,

We use Procomm a lot at work to connect to micros; when people get problems, I tell them to short pins 2 & 3 on the connector (DB25 or DE9) & see if what they type is echo'd. The other hassle with Windows is that the flow-control options change all by themselves - what you may have set up (setting/control panel/system/ports) as no flow-control can suddenly become Xon/Xoff!

Maybe it's the cable?
