Here is what you need to go fishing:

1) Build an enthusiasm that you will catch a big one.

2) Get together your equipment.

3) Ask around for some ideas on what bait is working and get a few ideas on where to do.

4) Work out a map, diagram, or course of action to find a site to go.

5) Go away to the lake/river/sea and fish. This is a quite and contemplative process.

6) Only get excited if you have success. And you come to know that to have caught that fish you had to do it on your own. You can't demand to the fish that they bite, you can't expect the advice from other fishermen will guarentee that you will catch fish and you'll only get help cleaning the ones you did catch if you talk real nice to your buddy.
