I once looked into implementing I2C slave (required if you want to use a uC as a peripheral) and found that the chip had to be screaming fast to make it work at the 100 kHz speed, and forget about 400 hHz speed.
If your particular uC variant has some hardware I2C support, maybe it would be easier. I think the ADuC812 has some hardware support, but I believe it's for master, not slave. If you want a uC peripheral, maybe SPI would make more sense. Dennis |
