#41083 - RE: Using 8051 as I²C peripheral Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You may want to consider the C8051F305 part from Cygnal. This is high performance small pin count MCU with an onboard SM_Bus controller. This supports a 2 wire bus that is compatible with I2C and can operate as either a master or a slave. The Cygnal part is also advantageous because it contains an internal oscillator so you can make a smart peripheral out of it without having to provide an oscillator for it. The overall capabilites are quite impressive for an 11-pin part and could implement quite a batch of smart peripheral logic in one chip. It has 2K of onboard FLASH.
