I tried searching with no success. I'll find it. I found it by accident - looking for PWM motor drives ! So if I wanted to do 2 axes tracking, what is best strategy? do I do one axis tracking first and stop at maximum signal level then do the other axis and panel position should be center on the sun? They are "orthogonal", in polar terms so you can do both at once. Apparently YELLOW leds make good sensors too. Azimuth tracking is probably "harder" (more angle) than altitude tracking. 2. is it better to do kartesian or polar tracking in this case? Polar. 3. what should the period of retracking be? Why worry ? You have 12 hours to get back in ! I would fancy satellite dish actuators for the task - lots of power and up to 1 metre of travel- in a case, waterproofed for 100 quid Steve |
