If Microchip beat Philips in "8-bit processors", so what. You have to add those from Intel, Atmel, ST and the rest of the bunch. My guess is that the total '51 production from 'the rest' will be more than the Philips count and thus '51 > 2* Microchip.
Erik Ps the above based on (possibly outdated) info thar Philips is the #1 producer of '51 chips. Whichever manufacturer is #1, the above still holds. |
