May not be....but there is usually a just right 8051 choice.
Michael Karas I like the PIC's, GP32's and various other small 8-bitters just as much as the '51s and '52s. Each has its place inspite of what we see from the misguided marketing types that write the ads, promotional information, and draw brag pictures with fireworks in the sky. I can also say that in terms of optimized code produced by a C compiler targeting an 8-bit CPU core that I have yet to see a compiler that can do much better than what I have seen the Keil tools produce for a '51 !! There is a reason for that too, simply the sheer number of users oer many years demanding the best leads to this. MJK |
