#51000 - RE: very accurate time delays Responding to: ???'s previous message |
To generate the short time delays i have the following idea,
If i have a table of nops ( total nops =maximium delay needed) now only if i could figure out a way to jump into this table at desired location with minimum number of instructions. One more thing has confused me, i read the data sheet of the DS89C420, at one place it says the machine cycle is equal to four clocks, yet at another it says that at 33Mhz clock it can run at 33MIPS. i know that there is a clock division ( from 0.25 to 1024) exist in this. does this means that the internal clock can run upto 33*4=132 Mhz to get 33MIPs at 33Mhz external clock. could some one explain this to me. vinod |
