#51451 - RE: interrogating the 8052 chip
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Stuart,

Is this a single 8051 chip or 8051 board you are trying to test? Are you just trying to verify that the chip has been programmed before plugging it in?

Without stimulating its inputs in a valid manner, you won't be able to verify its functionality...and even then checking the chip's serial output won't tell you if all of it's other outputs are functioning.
