Thanks for the info.
I'll try the Hyperterminal option. I need to read up on this but what is the best method to determine if its RS232 (I'm sure it is) & establishing what the baud rate should be etc. This is an 8052 chip fitted on a board. Yes, I would just like to verify it has been programmed before and look for a changed in output when the user interface (push buttons) are used. Regards, Stuart P.S.
