#57852 - Powerful core or PLD/CSL? |
Hi!
It have happened and seems I should migrate from 5V MCU to 3V one. Looking for powerful 51 chip I have found two vendors which seem to produce appropriate parts which may be obtained here. They are Triscend and Cygnal. Triscend produces the E5 serie which has a poor MCU core (something like speedup C52) and configurable SLC - system logic on chip (DMA, RAM, Logic Cells). Cygnal produces very-very powerful C51 core (alot of timers, DAC/ADC, PCA etc) and programable "crossbar" feature which allows to redefine pins. In fact, a biting irony of the choise is that with E5 serie and its SLC I can make hardware similar with that Cygnal chips have inside. I know that some of you have experience with these chips and I would be glad if you suggest me - which pluses and minuses are present in them. Not just hardware/software but also about programming/bedugging - which software, which problems etc... Thank you and sorry for my poor language. Good days! |
