DO not discount the Cygnal out of hand. You should also consider that you can get incredible performance (1 clock per cycle) at 25 or even 50 MHz, both JTAG ISP (in system programming) and IAP (in application programming), available parts up to 128 K FLASH, onboard XRAM to 8K bytes, 12 bit & 8 bit analog A/D and D/A, up to 8 ports of I/O .................. and best of all...the hardware debug support that includes breakpoints, watch points, and single stepping of target program while operating at full clock speed out of the FLASH.
There is of course on-board I2C support which works very nice once you see how it works. Michael Karas PS...look at C8051F020 or C8051F124 parts for 64 I/Os. |
