#58655 - RE: So whats wrong with Triscend & Cygnal? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
most people that I have talked to that have actually tried debugging and testing with a Cygnal part come back and say they are so glad I told them about it!!
The Cygnal debug is great for the price ($99-$149) but they still have a long way to go to be as handy as an ICE from e.g. Ceibo. I do totally agree that were I an amateur, the Cygnal kit would be the way to go - the price performance is excellent, but the "pseudo ICE' (nothing derogatory ment by 'pseudo') bums out way too often. For example, when debugging two ends, one with Cygnal and one with CEIBO, I tend to press f7 because that is the CEIBO step key and if you do that with the Cygnal - CRASH and you have to reload. Also the the window handling stinks. Again the Cygnal kit is worth its price many times over, but still has a way to go to be a professional product. Erik |
