I have used the Triscend in similar ways to Michael's Cygnals but, unfortunately, I don't have any pretty photos. :-(

An advantage of the Triscend here is its extreme memory flexibility: Flash is quite slow to download but, with the Triscend you can download to the internal SRAM in an instant; or you can simply fit external SRAM in place of the external Flash - and still download in next to no time.
This can be selected when you build you code at the mere switch of a command-line option!
