#59074 - RE: are decoupling capacitors realy need Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I disagree Kai
This discussion in one of its forms is almost always present on this forum . This is the solidest presentation of reasons for proper engineering practices yet presented. We should at this time make a determind effort to consolidate the poor practices so often presented as "this works for me" along with the engineering ramifications of these practices and the potential legal /career future pitfalls and present the proper treatment of them a short list: ground planes , watch dog timers, bypass capacitors, maximum voltage /current issues, input debouncing, esd protection for boards and for lines leaving the board or enclosure. We could then place this in the fac/bible area and point to it as required Terry |
