I don't think he was calling into question the NEED for decoupling, just the need for them on EVERY device. In my boards, I don't decouple every device either, but I use groundplanes and C where the design warrants it. Using a C everywhere just in case is not "design" its black magic. Kai indicates why it can also be a BAD idea, where you set up LC tuned circuits everywhere. STeve |
