Well.....let me say this....very carefully and then only when you have NOT spiked the eggnog.

The PC board has a set of eight jumper post pairs on 0.1 inch centers that permit you to disconnect the signals between the Cygnal CP2101 and the Sipex SP3243 RS232 level translator chip. If you remove these jumpers it is possible to attach wires and string them to other microcontroller circuitry at Vcc logic levels. For first run boards I would take them to a small PC fab pick and place shop that provides a place & pull service. Many times a shop will provide low cost first run board support on the promise from you that they get the fab contract for the production board. (It definately pays to look around and make a few phone calls). Michael Karas. |
