me too im thinking of working on a disc 8 bits wide. i would think i could narrow the the infared beam and have better compression maby have the bits 1/8 inch. what do you think?

Paul, if your budget does not allow you to spend $10 on a means of input that is not totally crazy, start saving for a proper device rather than trying to reinvent technology that probably never eill and never did work properly anyhow.
