you can tell I never really used it! I used to key in the bootloader by hand rather than load from paper tape!!!
so did I, but then the bootloader loaded the program from paper tape.

Those were the days, hours of coffee break for every compile, Then, on the other hand, it was exciring to use the little switches to patch your program to try a correction without having to recompile. I had several versions (for test only) where you first loaded the program, then loaded a patchtape. When that was verified you used the editor which was something like 'copy 11 lines, skip 2 lines, insert this ...' and a new tape was punched as you went and ONE mistake ment start over.
