#70126 - RE: another microsoft bug: delay (50)
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hans,

What if you have a customer who knows nothing about RS-232 or RS-485 or about installing a hardware card into their computer? If my company tried to sell it's communication devices on the basis of putting a card into the computer, we would not make the sale. The RS-232 port is on the computer for a reason. It is reasonable that the RS-232 port should work properly. If it does not work properly because of a software glitch then that is a "bug". Stop making excuses for poorly written and tested software from Microsoft. This comment also goes for the Delay() bug. If Microsoft gives you documentation on a thing, then that thing should work, no question about it.
